Job Overview

We are looking for a team of fun, enthusiastic and passionate nannies to come and work in Verbier this winter season, with year-round employment opportunities available.

Requirements

You must have the following:

  • Either two years experience in caring for children or have completed the Freckles Junior Nanny course
  • A first aid certificate
  • A criminal records check
  • An EU passport

Duties

Nanny duties will vary from family to family but almost all nanny jobs will involve an element of these typical nanny tasks. 

  • Provide complete care for the children in the client’s hotel or chalet and perform all tasks that correlate to the care of the children.
  • To create a safe, nurturing and fun environment, planning activities and games ahead.
  • Preparing bottles or meals and feeding children
  • Taking children on outings or pick up from ski school, making sure children are appropriately dressed for the weather.

Expectations

You will be expected to be friendly, presentable and in Petit Verbier uniform when on duty.

We love to see our nannies bring enthusiasm and their individual personalities to the job, researching new games and activities, and putting together appropriate activities for the families you are working with.

Typical week

One week will vary greatly from the next which requires flexibility. You will be required to meet the family on their arrival day to discuss the expectations for the week.  A typical week would include working 9am-5pm or 12pm-5pm plus 2-3 evenings babysitting, sometimes meeting the family for lunch, or giving the child/children lunch at the chalet. Taking the children to sledge, build snowmen or doing arts and crafts in the chalet for the afternoon.

There will be a compulsory training week before you commence work and ongoing training throughout the season.  Nannies are required to attend the weekly staff meeting in order to get information on the following week and de brief.
